Principal Research
Johannes A. (Hans) Roubos (1973), received a MSc degree (1997) in Bioprocess Engineering from the Wageningen UR and obtained a PhD degree (2002) in Biotechnology, and Systems and Control Engineering at Delft University of Technology for his work on “Bioprocess Modeling and Optimization” applied to clavulanic acid production in Streptomyces clavuligerus. Thereafter, he worked as a consultant at HaloteC. Since 2003, he has been with DSM, where he currently holds as position as Senior Scientist Bioinformatics at the DSM Biotechnology Center, Delft. He is a member of the Dutch Biotechnology Association (NBV).
Roubos published over 15 peer reviewed articles and contributed to 7 book chapter. Main area of interest: microbial strain and bioprocess development with a focus on synthetic biology, mathematical models and bioinformatics.
