Workshop "Translating science to the general public"

In this workshop you will learn how to translate your research (results) to the general public. For example, when you are talking to a journalist of a national newspaper, or a colleague of the communication department of your organisation. It is important in these situations to be short and focused and to think of the context of the one you are talking to: What is the core of your research and which aspects are interesting for the outside world?

The workshop will focus on how to talk to general media, but the skills learned can also be useful when you give an introduction about your work on a broad interdisciplinary conference or when you need to convince funding organisations of the societal relevance of your work.
